He adds, “I have been at Valley since the end of August, and we were really looking for opportunities to get our name out there, particularly in regards to the golf course.”

About Valley

Valley is a public, 18-hole golf course with a par of 72.

The course features 51 bunkers and three water holes.

Valley was first built as a nine-hole course in 1925, but was extended to 18 holes in 1964.

The original nine holes (1,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 18) were designed by W.H. Follet, while the “new” nine (2,3,4,12,13,14,15,16, and 17) were designed by Geoffrey Cornish.

As GolfNewsRI reported, the future of Valley was uncertain back in 2021-22 as the club at one point was under contract to be sold.

However, in March of 2022, the contract was torn up, meaning that Valley would stay open.
