BREAKING: Valley Staying Open, Contract Torn Up

The contract to purchase Valley Country Club in Warwick has been torn up and the club is staying open, General Manager Melodi Caruso confirmed to GolfNewsRI via email Friday morning.

The company that had the contract remains unknown.

“Valley Country Club isn’t going anywhere! It’s official, and we are so excited to continue being a prominent RI golf course, event venue, and so much more like we have for the past 73 years. Our restaurant & golf course is open to the public, and memberships are also available with preferred tee times and so much more. We’re so excited for all that the future holds and look forward to more amazing memories made right at Valley Country Club,” says Valley in their new ad set to be released.

As GolfNewsRI reported back in October, the club was under contract to be sold.

As Caruso acknowledged on another podcast earlier last year, the club has lost hundreds of members over the last two years or so.

Now that the club is remaining open for the long term, it will be interesting to see if the trajectory changes.

Story is developing…
