Devon Quigley Passes Away

Devon Quigley passed away late on Saturday evening, the family announced Sunday morning.

Devon is the son of Rhode Island golf legend Dana Quigley.

Devon was 39-years-old.

“At 10:15 p.m. on 10/28/23, my brother, confidante and the strongest person I will ever know, gained his wings and his body was set free from the world. Many of you have celebrated through victories and prayed through tragedy with us. We are asking you to pray with us once again. This tragedy is one of unimaginable size. It was completely unexpected and happened so quickly. But I guess one can never be prepared to lose part of your heart. Please pray for peace for us all, for the ability to figure out life without hime, and the courage to live out and honor his emory through all we do. He was braver, stronger and had more faith than any person should have to. But he did it with grit and grace anyway.

The Quigley family thanks your for loving and supporting us the last 12 years. Devon, you changed this world and all who walked in your path. We all, and Evelyn most, have been blessed to know you. Play golf with the greats until we see you again,” writes Devon’s sister Nicole in a statement on social media.

She adds that more details will be posted as they arise.

Quigley suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident in 2011.

Since then he has served as an inspiration to many across the region.
