URI Commit Bruneau Advances to U.S. Junior Am, Jackson Misses by Shot

University of Rhode Island commit Tyler Bruneau made the cut at U.S. Junior Amateur qualifying on Monday at Veterans Memorial Golf Course in Massachusetts.
Bruneau finished the day at four-under par and the cut ended up being three-under.

As GolfNewsRI reported, Bruneau announced his verbal commitment to Rhody back in April.
Bruneau is the second Rhody commit to make it to the U.S. Junior Am after Luke Stennett got through qualifying last week.
La Salle golf star Max Jackson missed the cut by one shot.
He finished at two-under for the tournament.
