VIDEO: URI Commit Bruneau Leads World Series of Junior Golf, Kylie Eaton Leads RI Girls

University of Rhode Island commit Tyler Bruneau fired a three-under 69 to lead the World Series of Junior Golf at Triggs after day one.
Bruneau, who just punched a ticket to the U.S. Junior Am, leads New Hampshire’s Josiah Hakala by one shot.
On the girls side, Kylie Eaton leads Rhode Islanders following a round of 2-over par 74 on Thursday.
Molly Smith leads the girls division at two-under.
World Series Round 1 – Boys
Bruneau made three birdies against two bogeys on the front nine to turn at one-under par.
On the back side, he made four birdies against two bogeys to card a 69.
Behind Bruneau, North Kingstown’s Will Owens is in a tie for fifth at even par, while Ian Dunham, Charlie Melvin and Max Jackson are all in a tie for 13th.
Girls Division
On the girls side, Eaton started on the back side and made a birdie and four bogeys to turn at 40.
Turning to the front, she birdied the third and sixth holes, with a bogey on five sandwiched in-between.
Adriana Eaton and Olivia Williams are four-over and in a tie for sixth overall.
