BREAKING: FCG Associates to be Awarded Triggs Bid
FCG Associates will be awarded the Triggs Bid, GolfNewsRI has learned.
According to the Wednesday, October 26 meeting agenda that was sent to GolfNewsRI, “Authorization for superintendent of parks, Wendy Nilsson to accept bid proposal and negotiate 10-year lease starting on January 1, 2023 with FCG Associates for the operation, management and maintenance of Triggs Memorial Golf Course. Wendy Nilsson, Parks Superintendent. Discussion and Vote.”
Wednesday’s meeting was classified as a public hearing in a press release by the Rhode Island Golf Association (RIGA) this past week.
It appears, according to this agenda, that it will just be to negotiate the lease with FCG Associates.

FCG Associates beat out RIGA and Northeast Golf Company to retain Triggs.
They have run Triggs since 1990, according to the City.
