Winners Crowned in Triggs Memorial’s 1st Major of Season

The duo of Rick Berard and Dave Deverell won the low gross and Raymond Castigliego and Alex Maratta won the low net titles in Triggs’ first major of the season on Sunday. 

The format was a Texas scramble where each player hit a drive and then they played their own ball in from the spot of the best drive.

Triggs

Berard and Deverell carded a low gross score of 3-under par 69 while Castigliego and Maratta had a low net of 7-under 65.

Second low gross was captured by Peter Hallas and Craig Richards (2-under 70).

Second low net went to Kevin Lanouette and Doug Corsetti (6-under 66).  

Third low net was captured by Lou Riquinha and John Gazzero (5-under 67).

There was a tie for fouth low net at 3-under 69; Mike Douillette-George Soukatos, Bob Aceto-Keith Blanchette and Frank Adessi, who played alone and was paired by a blind draw.

Closest to the pin winners were; Gary Marcotte (hole 4 and 7), and Bob “Digger” Degnan (hole 12). No one won hole number 14.

Skins were captured by Peter Hallas (hole 1), Rick Bernard (eagle on 13) and Kevin Lanouette (17).

Next Up at Triggs 

The next major of the season will be the ABCD. 

That is scheduled for Saturday, May 15.
