Max Jackson Headed to Temple for Junior Season
Max Jackson is headed to Temple to continue his collegiate career.
The former La Salle star spent the last two collegiate seasons at Rutgers before entering the transfer portal this spring.
Temple officially announced the move via social media on Saturday morning.

In two seasons at Rutgers, Jackson saw tournament action in just a handful of events.
According to GNRI reporting and review, the former La Salle star played five official events for Rutgers and had a scoring average of 74.
As a freshman, Jackson finished 38th in his collegiate debut at the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate.
He then finished eighth out of 15 on the Individual leaderboard at the Colleton River Collegiate, before wrapping up his freshman season with a 72nd place finish at The Johnnie-O at Sea Island.
As a sophomore, Jackson played two events for Rutgers starting with the Marquette Intercollegiate where he finished 81st.
The former La Salle’s stars final event with the Scarlet Knights came in March at the 2026 Johnnie-O at Sea Island.
There, Jackson fired a final round 66 to climb 24 spots up the leaderboard and into a tie for 54th.
The 66 is his lowest collegiate round to date.
Strong Summer for Jackson
Jackson now heads to Temple off a strong summer performance.
He survived brutal weather conditions during the stroke play portion of the Rhode Island State Amateur to make the match play cut.
Once there, he advanced to the quarterfinals, before falling to Tyler Cooke.
Jackson earned a top five finish at the Rhode Island Stroke Play Championship, and has a pair of second place finishes in two Challenge Cup events.
He also earned low amateur honors at the Rhode Island Open.
About Temple Golf
Temple competes in the American Conference, where they finished last in the 2026 Conference Championship.
Jackson will join a roster that includes grad student Michael Quirk, senior Matt Vital, juniors William Jun, Tommy Murdough, and Mason Tome.
Nick Pisarski and Nick Linkchorst are the two sophomores on the roster.
