Lukowicz Advances to U.S. Senior Open Final Qualifying
Former Rhode Island Amateur champion Jamie Lukowicz has advanced to U.S. Senior Open Final Qualifying.
Lukowicz carded an even par 72 at Salem Country Club to advance.
This is the second straight year in which Lukowicz has advanced to Final Qualifying.
Overall, the top 15 players and two alternates made the cut.
Oklahoma’s Pat Bates and Massachusetts’ Shaun Powers tied for medalist honors at two-under.
Lukowicz’s Round
After opening with three straight pars, Lukowicz carded back-to-back birdies on the fourth and fifth holes to move to two-under.
He closed the front nine with a bogey on nine to turn at one-under 35.
Turning to the back side, Lukowicz made back-to-back bogeys on the 10th and 11th holes to fall back to one-over par.
Lukowicz bounced back with birdies on the 14th and 15th holes, before making bogey on 17 to finish at even par.
