Vinny Papa Wins Ocean State Junior Classic
Rhode Island’s Vinny Papa notched her second victory in the last three weeks on Sunday, taking home the Ocean State Junior Classic at Cranston Country Club.
Papa finished at 15-over for the tournament with rounds of 81 and 76 to win by three shots over Katrina Bulkovska and Daniela Rodriguez.
The 76 came with a triple on the second hole, but she recovered by playing the rest of the round in just two-over par.
Papa won the Nutmeg Championship in Connecticut a couple of weeks ago.
Both tournaments are part of the U.S. Challenge Cup schedule.
Next up for Papa, she will head to the Notah Begay Junior National Championship.

The only other girl in the tournament was North Providence’s Ella Qian, who finished solo fourth.
Olivia Williams and Gianna Papa both withdrew from the tournament.
Boys Tournament
On the boys side of the tournament, Prout star Rocco Capalbo finished in second at two over for the tournament.
He posted rounds of 70 and 74 on the week.
