Coventry’s Sam Fuentes Commits to Bryant University for Golf

Coventry High School star Sam Fuentes has announced that he will be playing Division I Golf at Bryant University next fall.
“I am very excited to announce my commitment to play Division 1 golf at Bryant University! Huge thanks to Coach Angeli and Coach Blanchard for the opportunity, and thanks to everyone who helped me get to this point,” writes Fuentes on Instagram.

Fuentes is coming off a big summer in which he qualified for and went too the U.S. Junior Amateur.
Most recently, Fuentes tied for third at the Foon Cup to lead all Rhode Islanders in the field.
Joining Bryant
Arriving at Bryant next year, Fuentes will join a roster that includes fellow Rhode Islander Rocco Biafore, who just recently made his collegiate debut.
The Bulldogs are losing three seniors and a grad student after this season, including star player Tyler Dupuis.
They will look to players such as Aidan Azevedo, Patrick Gallagher and Cael Kohan to lead them next season, with help from a core of youngsters.
