Annual McCormick Shootout Set for This Weekend at Triggs
Some of the top amateurs in Rhode Island and New England will be at Triggs Memorial Golf Course this weekend for the annual McCormick Shootout.
The best ball tournament will take place on October 21 and 22 with a 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on both days.
The two day tournament honors McCormick, who passed away in 2005.
The Tournament
Headlined by Mike’s son, and former RI Amateur Champion, Tom McCormick, the tournament is a two man best ball event played over 36 holes.
Last year’s tournament ended in a tie between the teams of Mike Hamilton/Derek Audette and Kevin Blaser/Mark Lounsbury at 13-under par.
