Epic McCormick Shootout Ends in Tie
It was an epic finish to the annual McCormick Shootout this weekend at Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence.
The two day tournament honors Mike McCormick, who passed away in 2005.
The tournament ended in a tie between the teams of Mike Hamilton/Derek Audette and Kevin Blaser/Mark Lounsbury at 13-under par.

Hamilton and Audette entered as the defending champions.
Epic Battle
The two teams played together in Sunday’s final round and Blaser figures they combined for about 20-25 birdies and two eagles.
One eagle came courtesy of Hamilton, who rolled in a 100 footer (approx) for eagle on six and a 60 footer for birdie on 14.
Blaser hit it to six feet on the fifth hole and made an eagle.
For his part, Audette put a string of four birdies in a row, all about 10-15 feet in length.
Blaser and Lounsbury were “in the clubhouse” at 13-under.
On the last hole, Audette had to make about a seven foot putt for par to tie and he drilled it.
