Course Review: Blissful Meadows – September 30, 2023

Blissful Meadows is back!

I had the opportunity to play Blissful Meadows in Uxbridge, Massachusetts on the weekend of September 30.

I have played the course numerous times (about 100) but not since October 16, 2021, when I was extremely disappointed in the course conditions.

At that time I reviewed the course for GolfNewsRI.

Blissful would not have been my first choice to play, but I joined a tournament and found the course conditions to be excellent for a public course.

Given the recent high amount of rain we have received, I consider the course to be in the best condition I have experienced to date.

The tee boxes were in good condition as well as the fairways and greens.  I played in a scramble event and I putt well and usually putt last.  I made a ton of putts and I found the greens true and well-conditioned.

I still have the same criticism of the range.  The balls are plentiful, but in poor condition.

I prefer the club invest in new practice range balls and charge more to cover their investment.

The course is very walkable and the club directly breaks out on their website the weekend greens fees ($60) from the cart fee ($20).  This is the same price as 2021.

I always write course reviews whenever GolfNewsRI founder Joe Calabro asks for one and I am delighted to write this one and hope Blissful Meadows keeps the course in its current condition.
