Warwick Asst. Pro Samantha Morrell Wins Connecticut Women’s Open
Warwick Country Club Assistant Pro Samantha Morrell won the Connecticut Women’s Open on Tuesday at Rolling Hills Country Club.
Morrell finished at even par for the tournament to win by one shot over Angela Garvin and Melissa Siviter.
The total purse for the tournament was $15,000.
Morrell’s Final Round
After carding a 71 on the first day, Morell opened the second day with the lead.
She started the round with bogeys on the fourth and seventh holes to turn at two-over par.
On the back side, Morrell made birdies on the tenth and 13th holes to pull her back to even for the day and maintain her lead.
Bogeys on 14 and 15 made the end result a little closer, but Morrell would par in to win the tournament.
