URI Golf Picked to Finish 5th in A-10 Preseason Poll

The University of Rhode Island Golf team has been picked to finish fifth in the A-10 Preseason Poll, the conference announced.
Davidson, the two-time defending champs, were picked to finish first, while VCU, Richmond and George Washington were picked two through four.

Despite being picked fifth, the Rams have a chance to do something special this spring season.
Rhode Island will be led by star seniors Brandon Gillis and Bryson Richards, as well as, Andrew DiPetrillo.
Rhody is also expecting big things out of junior Geronimo Narizzano, redshirt freshman Chuck Tragresser and freshman Aidan O’Donovan.
All of whom contributed in a big way during the fall portion of the season.
URI opens the spring season Monday, March 13 at Bash at the Beach in North Myrtle Beach.
The 2023 Atlantic 10 Men’s Golf Championship begins Friday, April 28 at Reunion Resort in Orlando.
The winner of the 54-hole event will receive the Atlantic 10’s automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.
