Topgolf Pulls in $1.5B in Revenue in 2022

The golf equipment company Callaway posted their 2022 earnings on Thursday. 

Among the biggest takeaways from the financials is the success of Topgolf. 

According to Callaway, Topgolf did more than $1.5 billion in revenue in 2022. 

As GolfNewsRI reported, Topgolf is expected to open in Cranston in the fall of 2023. 

Topgolf pulled in 39% of revenue in 2022 compared to golf equipment and active lifestyle which did 35% and 26% respectively. 

According to Callaway, 10% of green grass golfers got their Start in Topgolf.

Other than Topgolf, Callaway was on fire in 2022. 

The company did $3.99 billion in revenue in 2022 and sales were up 27.5%.

Regarding the facility itself, Topgolf will be three floors  and just over 100 hitting bays. 

There will also be concessions, video games, music, a bar and much more. 

“It really is going back to bringing people together in a fun and safe environment, whether it is for a social event, birthday party or a corporate event. It’s a great way to kick back, have some fun and enjoy the sport of golf,” Smith added. 

Topgolf is looking to employ about 400 people with Hopkins telling assembled media that the starting pay at one of these facilities is approximately $70,000.
