Former North Kingstown golf star Samantha Morrell will join the Warwick pro shop staff as an assistant professional in 2023, the club announced on Saturday. 

Morrell won three straight Rhode Island high school girls state championships for NK from 2007-2009. 

Following high school, Morrell went to Old Dominion to play college golf, where she was awarded the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Year in her freshman season. 

In 2013, Morrell was awarded the ODU Alumni Association Female Athlete of the Year. 

In the midst of her collegiate career, she won the New England Women’s Amateur in 2010 and the Rhode Island Women’s Amateur in 2011. 

Following school, she became an LPGA Class A Teaching Professional and started her career at The Milbrook Club in Connecticut.
