The waiting now begins for Davis Chatfield, who is in the clubhouse at three-under par and in a tie for 39th following the final round of Q School on Monday in Georgia. 

Chatfield is tied with six other players at three-under for essentially the final top 40 spot, with players still on the course, both ahead and behind Davis. 

The top 40 and ties get eight guaranteed starts on the Korn Ferry Tour next season. 

Players outside the top 40 will get some starts, but nothing guaranteed and no set schedule.

Chatfield’s Final Round 

Starting the day in 15th, Chatfield opened the final round of Q School with a bogey on the first hole. 

After two pars, he bogeyed the fourth hole, before bouncing back with a birdie on the fifth hole to be one-over for the day. 

He parred out on the front nine to turn at 37. 

On the back side, Chatfield bogeyed the tenth hole, then made another bogey on the 13th hole to go to three-over for the day. 

A clutch birdie on the 14th hole put him back inside the top 40, but he wasn’t able to make another birdie coming in to give himself breathing room. 

Chatfield carded a final round 73.
