Chatfield Earns Top 40 Finish, Guaranteed Korn Ferry Tour Starts
It is official, Davis Chatfield snuck inside the top 40 at Korn Ferry Tour Q School – Final Stage and has earned guaranteed starts next season.
As GolfNewsRI reported, Chatfield got it in the clubhouse at three-under for the tournament and a tie for 39th with a handful of players still on the course.
Given the nature of these tournaments, it was uncertain if he would stay there or drop out – well he stayed there.
The top 40 finish guarantees the former RI Amateur Champ eight starts on the Korn Ferry Tour next season with the ability to earn his way into more tournaments with good play.
The 2023 Korn Ferry Tour season starts in January.
Notable Finishes
Bo Hoag won medalist honors at the event with a score of 14-under par.
He is fully exempt for next season.
Former Oklahoma star Chris Gotterup finished at 12-under and in third.
Former Oklahoma star Logan McAllister also earned status on the KFT next season.
