Chatfield Seeks Crucial Top 40 Finish at Final Stage of Q School
Davis Chatfield is about to play in the four biggest golf rounds of his life – the final stage of Korn Ferry Tour Q School.
The Final Stage begins on Friday at The Landings – Marshwood course in Savannah, Georgia and concludes on Monday.
Chatfield will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
After advancing out of the second stage, Chatfield already has a Korn Ferry Tour card for the upcoming season.
However, starts are not really guaranteed, so a top 40 finish this weekend is critical.
Top 40
A top 40 finish is critical for Davis because of the starts that come along with it.
A finish inside the top 40 guarantees Davis eight Korn Ferry Tour starts next season.
Top 10 finish and he gets 12 guaranteed starts, and if he wins the tournament he is fully exempt.
A finish outside the top 40 means that he has conditional status and will get some starts but nothing guaranteed.
The starts he does get, he needs to make the most of and move up the ranks.
The Korn Ferry Tour has a reshuffle of the priority list after every four events.
The Korn Ferry Tour is 26 events, and the purse for each event is $1Million.
LIVE STREAMING
The final round of the event will be live streamed on Monday, November 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The first hour will be on Korn Ferry Tour Twitter and Facebook.
