The cut ended up being 13-under par.

Everyone who qualifies after Stage 2 earns a card, Chatfield and the other qualifiers now head to the final stage to play for premium membership.

The premium membership means that he will be guaranteed access to any tournament that he wants to play in on the Tour.

The final stage is set for early November, with about 40 players being granted premium membership.

Chatfield’s Final Round

Starting the day one shot off the cut, Chatfield opened with three straight pars, and then made birdies on the fourth and fifth holes to get to two-under for the day.

After three more pars, Chatfield birdied the ninth hole to turn at three-under for the day and 13-under for the tournament.

At this point, 13-under was the cut, so Chatfield was right on the line.

Probably needing to pick up a few shots coming in, if for no other reason than comfort, Chatfield birdied the 11th and 13th holes to get to 15-under and into the top 10.

Now, it was just about not going backwards.

Chatfield saved pars on the remaining five holes to finish at five-under for the day and 15-under for the tournament.

Dominating the Back 9

The biggest reason that Chatfield is advancing is he dominated the back nine throughout the week.

The former RI Amateur champion played the back nine at 11-under par for the week, compared to just four-under on the front.

The 11-under par was the second best in the tournament.

On top of that, Chatfield was nine-under on the par-4s, which was fifth best in the tournament.

All of that, equals a Korn Ferry Tour Card.
