MA’s International Golf Club to Host Saudi-Backed Golf League Event

The International Golf Club, located about an hour from Boston, is one of four U.S. locations that will host a Saudi-back Golf League tournament in 2022, the controversial league announced on Wednesday.
The International will host a tournament from September 2 to September 4.
The club was recently acquired out of bankruptcy by Escalante Golf back in February of 2021.
There have been no details released about who is playing in this new tour.

The Saudi Golf League announced eight events on Wednesday with prize money of $255 million + for each of them.
The first event will take place in London the week before the U.S. Open.
Other U.S. Locations
There are three other U.S. locations that the league will be visiting.
The first will be Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, famous for hosting Tiger Woods’ last U.S. Amateur victory.
That will take place from July 1-3.
Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster will host a tournament at the end of July, before The International in September.
The final U.S. location is Rich Harvest Farms in Chicago in mid-September.
