Tiger Woods Wins Player Impact Program Despite Not Playing

Despite not hitting one competitive shot this season, Tiger Woods has won the inaugural Player Impact Program (PIP).

This comes a couple of months after Phil Mickelson announced on social media that he had won the extra $8 million.

Ironically, or maybe not, the news of Phil not winning comes in the midst of his massive fall from grace in which he has seen all of his sponsors leave him and fellow Tour players trash him for his antics with the Saudi Golf League.

The PIP judges players on social media engagement with fans, as well as, accomplishments on the course in a given year.

Tiger has not played an official Tour event since the 2020 Masters.

He did return to competition after a near fatal car crash to play with his son Charlie at the PNC Championship.

It is still unknown when Woods will make his next start.
