Applications for U.S. Open Qualifying Now Available

Entry applications to qualify for the 2022 U.S. Open are now available.
As GolfNewsRI reported more than a month ago, the local qualifying site for Rhode Island is Kirkbrae Country Club.
“Thousands of golfers will once again attempt to qualify for the championship through a two-stage process in which eventually 156 players will advance to The Country Club and one will be crowned U.S. Open champion. Non-exempt players will compete in one of 109 local qualifiers hosted throughout the United States (with one in Canada) between April 25 and May 23. Nearly 1,000 players will then compete in final qualifying, scheduled at 11 sites worldwide on May 23 and June 6,” writes the USGA in its press release.
As GolfNewsRI also reported there are other qualifying locations in nearby Massachusetts.
The U.S. Open is set to be held from June 16-19 at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts.
