MA’s Aiden O’Donovan Signs NLI to Join URI

Somerville’s Aiden O’Donovan has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the University of Rhode Island Golf team next season.
O’Donovan is currently a senior at Somerville High School in Massachusetts.
“URI is the perfect fit for me. It is a nice, beautiful campus with a great coach who has the right intentions. He puts a strong emphasis on being a gentleman and he truly wants the best for his players. It’s school first, then everything else after,” said O’Donovan.

O’Donovan exploded onto the golf scene several months ago, including this past April when he won the Challenge Cup at Alpine Country Club.
“We had Aidan as a top prospect even before he exploded 18 months ago and had a great summer. He is a thinker, a grinder when he needs to be, and a winner,” said URI head coach Gregg Burke in a statement.
O’Donovan will join the Rams in the fall of 2022.
