Drive, Chip & Putt Competition Congratulates Welch on 1st Collegiate Win
The Drive, Chip and Putt (DCP) Competition, held yearly at Augusta National, issued a heartfelt congratulations to Rhode Island’s Patrick Welch on winning his first collegiate tournament.
As GolfNewsRI reported, Welch won the East Lake Cup’s Individual Title last Monday by two shots.
“We’d like to congratulate 2014 DCP Champion, Patrick Welch on winning his first college title at the East Lake Cup in honor of his father, Martin Welch, who passed away three months ago. Patrick’s inspiring story is one of dedication and hope,” tweeted DCP on Tuesday.
Welch won the inaugural Drive, Chip and Putt Competition back in 2014.
