PC, Bryant Women Set for Crusader Inv. at Worcester CC
The Providence College and Bryant Women’s Golf teams are set to tee it up at the Crusader Invitational this week at historic Worcester Country Club.
Worcester hosted the inaugural Ryder Cup in 1927 featuring players such as Ted Ray and Walter Hagen.
The tournament gets underway on Monday, October 19 and runs through Tuesday.
Bryant’s lineup includes Cassidy Gallant, Florencia Cuellar, Jayden Loyacona, Miranda Prober, Sofia Pangan.
Lauren Connor and Sophie Cunningham are playing as individuals.
Providence’s lineup includes Annabel Widdifield, Bailey Baio, Claire McTaggart, Maddie Hyndman, and Myla Bisceglia.
Cambbell Bridges and Olivia Arone are playing as individuals.
The tournament also includes New Haven, Stonehill, Merrimack, Siena, Assumption, Holy Cross, Hartford, Iona, Le Moyne and Manhattan.
Other Rhode Islanders in Field
Along with PC and Bryant, there are a slew of Rhode Islanders in the field.
Reigning Rhode Island Women’s Amateur Champ Olivia Williams is in the lineup for Merrimack.
Women’s Am runner-up Hanley Correia is in the lineup for Stonehill.
Samantha Tinsley is in the lineup for Assumption and two-time RI Girls Junior Am Champ Lily Dessel is playing as an individual for Holy Cross.
