Francoeur Misses Cut in First Korn Ferry Tour Finals Event
Former URI star Chris Francoeur missed the cut at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Simmons Bank Championship.
The Simmons Bank Championship is the first event of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
Francoeur fired rounds of 72 and 65 to finish at three-under for the tournament.
The cut was four-under.
Francoeur will still advance to the next tournament as he is well inside the top 132 on the Korn Ferry Tour.
The former Rhody Ram is slated to slip from 79th to 84th on the KFT points list.
Sandy Scott, Will Cannon and Alvaro Ortiz lead the tournament at 14-under par.
