URI, PC, Bryant Kick Off Fall Season at Bethpage
There will be a Rhode Island flavor in New York this weekend at the Doc Gimmler Invitational at Bethpage State Park.
URI, Providence and Bryant are all playing in the event which kicks off on Saturday morning.
This marks the first tournament of the fall season for all three teams.
URI enters the tournament with a lineup of Tony Liu, Josiah Tong, Jack Quinn, Bennett Masterson and Sebastian Carlsson.
Owen Rooney will play as an individual.
Bryant goes with Matt Downes, Matt Young, Chad Correia, Tripp Hollister and Sam Fuentes.
Rocco Biafore will play as an individual.
The Friars will take Callan Fahey, Oliver Clark, Maurice Hoben III, Zac Georgantas and Will Spring to the tournament.
Evan Buddenhagen will play as an individual.
Other programs in the tournament include Long Island University, Yale, UConn, Iona, St. John’s, Boston College, Columbia, Towson, Lafayette and Hofstra.
