Francoeur Sits T1 Heading to Weekend at AdventHealth Championship
Former URI star Chris Francoeur is in a tie for first place heading into the weekend at the Korn Ferry Tour’s AdventHealth Championship in Kansas City.
Francoeur is 15-under par for the tournament and in a seven-way tie for first place with 36 holes to play.
The former Rhody Ram posted rounds of 64 and 65 over the first two rounds, with the second round 65 moving him up four spots on the leaderboard .
He gets his third round underway at 11:59 a.m. eastern time on Saturday alongside Davis Shore and Rayhan Thomas.
Welch Misses Cut
Classical grad Patrick Welch missed the cut this week after rounds of 70 and 68.
He finished the two days a six-under for the tournament and missed the cut by two shots.
