Francoeur Finishes Inside Top 20 at KFT’s Boise Open
Former URI star Chris Francoeur earned a top 20 finish at this week’s Boise Open on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Francoeur fired a final round 65 to climb nine spots up the leaderboard and into a tie for 19 overall.
He finished at 17-under for the tournament.
With the top 20 finish, Francoeur moves from 99 to 89 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points list as the playoffs approach.
The top 100 players at the end of the season lock up full KFT status for the 2027 season.
Welch Finishes T48
Classical grad Patrick Welch finished in a tie for 48th for the tournament.
He carded rounds of 70, 64, 72 and a final round 66 to finish at 12-under overall.
The final round 66 moved him up 22 spots on the leaderboard.
