URI Commit LaTorre Wins Northern Junior
University of Rhode Island commit Tanner LaTorre won the Northern Junior by one shot on Wednesday in Connecticut.
LaTorre finished the tournament at five-under par with rounds of 69 and 68 to beat two players by one shot.
He also beat incoming Ram Jack Quinn by two shots.
Quinn finished at three-under par for the week and in a tie for fourth overall.
LaTorre will join Rhody in the fall of 2027 alongside Michael McCormack and Priyam Nayak.
Quinn will at Rhode Island in just a few weeks to begin his freshman season.
