Francoeur Finishes Inside Top 10 at KFT’s Utah Championship
Former URI star Chris Francoeur finished in side the top ten at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Utah Championship this week.
After bogeying his final two holes, Francoeur finished at 19-under par for the tournament and in a tie for ninth overall.
He is projected to jump from 120 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List to 91, with a couple of weeks of the regular season left.
Being inside the top 100 on the points list gets Francoeur into at least the first two Korn Ferry Tour playoff events.
Given that Francoeur started the season with just conditional status on the Korn Ferry Tour, this season has been a huge jump for the Rhody alum.
Derek Hitchner won the Utah Championship in a five-person playoff at 21-under par.
