PC’s Fahey Takes Co-Medalist Honors at Illinois Open Qualifier
Providence College golf star Callan Fahey took co-medalist honors at the Illinois Open qualifier this week at Bull Valley Golf Club.
Fahey fired a three-under 69 to tie for the win with Eric Klutke.
Overall six players advanced to the Illinois Open, which is set to be held from August 10-12 at The Club at Wynstone.
The cut was even par.
Fahey will be a sophomore at Providence College starting in the fall.
Fahey’s Round
Fahey opened the qualifier with a bogey on the first hole, but bounced back with a birdie on the sixth.
He made the turn at even par.
Turning to the back side, Fahey birdied the 11th, 15th and 17th against no bogeys to post his three-under round.
