Francoeur, Welch Make Cut at KFT’s Evans Scholars Inv.
Chris Francouer ad Patrick Welch both made the cut at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Evans Scholars Invitational this week.
But, it looked a little different for each of them.
Francoeur got off to a great start in the first round, opening with a 66, and then following it up with a 67 in the second round.
The former URI star sits at nine-under par for the tournament and in a tie for 15 overall.
He tees off at 12:10 p..m. on Saturday.
Welch, in his first KFT event in months, opened with a first round 72 and was well outside the cut line.

However, the Classical grad rallied in the second round to fire a 64 to make the cut on the number.
He is currently five-under for the tournament and in a tie for 65.
