Olivia Williams Captures 2026 RI Women’s Amateur Title
Olivia Williams captured her second Rhode Island Women’s Amateur title in the last four years on Friday morning at Agawam Hunt.
Williams held on to beat Ledgemont’s Hanley Correia 2&1 to take home the trophy.
“It’s really exciting and I’m just super happy that I could play steady all week and get it done in the end,” Williams said after the round.
For Williams, the Women’s Am victory comes just a couple of months after Williams’ lost her father in a tragic paramotor accident back in April.
“I was trying not to think about it too much, but I feel like my dad would be really proud and I just wish he was here,” said Williams.

Williams and Kylie Eaton have now combined to win four of the last five Women’s Amateur titles, each winning two.
A second Women’s Am title caps off a good summer for Williams who earned a top ten finish at the New England Women’s Am last month.
She will now get ready to head back to Merrimack for her sophomore season in a few weeks.
“Hopefully I can continue this playing good. I think I had a good week, so I’m going to try and keep practicing and hopefully do good throughout the school year,” said Williams.
Merrimack begins their fall season in Mid-September.
For Correia, she is not on the list for next week’s Rhode Island Junior Amateur at Pawtucket CC.
She will get set to begin her freshman season at Stonehill in a little over a month.
President’s Bowl
In the President’s Bowl, Ava Andoscia beat Jill Lancaster 5&4 to take the trophy.
Andoscia was four-up through the first seven holes before cruising to the win.
