Rhode Islanders Set for New England Amateur
A large contingent of Rhode Islanders and other with local connections are headed to Greathorse for the 2026 New England Amateur.
Locals in the field include five-time Rhode Island Amateur champion Bobby Leopold, four-time RI Amateur champion Brad Valois, 2025 RI Am champ Mike Calef and 2026 RI Am runner-up Tyler Cooke.
Other notables in the field include Sam Fuentes, Max Jackson, Harry Dessel, Mike Caparco and Mike Hamilton.
The tournament gets underway early Tuesday morning (July 14) and ends on Thursday, July 16.
It is three days of stroke play.
