Masterson, PC Commit Georgantas Qualify for New England Am
Misquamicut’s Bennett Masterson and Providence College commit Zac Georgantas qualified for the New England Amateur earlier this week at Chippanee Country Club in Connecticut.
Georgantas continued his strong play by taking medalist honors with a two-under 68 to edge Adrian Daigle and Shawn Amari by one shot.
The future Friar recently finished inside the top ten at the Hornblower Memorial late last month.
Masterson finished the qualifier at one-over 71 to make the cut on the number.
The rising senior at URI is coming off a Rhode Island Four-Ball Championship title with teammate Sebastian Carlsson.
Overall, 16 players made the cut at the Connecticut qualifying location.
The 2026 New England Amateur is set for July 14-16 at Greathorse in Massachusetts.
