Aidan O’Donovan Advances to New England Amateur
Former URI star Aidan O’Donovan took medalist honors took medalist honors at the New England Am qualifier at Val Halla Golf Club in Maine.
O’Donovan carded a two-under 69 to capture medalist honors by two shots.
Overall, nine players advance to the NE Am from that site, with the cut coming at two-over par.
The 2026 New England Amateur is set for July 14-16 at Greathorse in Massachusetts.
O’Donovan’s Round
Starting on the front nine, O’Donovan birdied the third and fourth holes to get to two-under on the round.
He turned at two-under 33.
On the back side, O’Donovan birdied the tenth hole, but gave it back with bogey on 13.
The former Rhody captain parred out to fire a 69.
