Course Review: Yale Golf Course – June 17, 2026
Had a day at the newly renovated Yale Golf Course.
So when we get there I don’t see many players, plenty of cars.
Then we talk to the bag attendant/starter and realize that the tee time interval is 15 minutes. Four groups per hour that made for a great pace of play. So the course is 100yrs old, 1926-2026, and just went through a Gil Hanse renovation which brought the course back and very close to original CB MacDonald design.

So the total green area is 180,000 sq ft, yes on average each green is 10,000sq ft.
They removed 3,000 trees.
Over all my impression is that this is not a 100yr old course, it is a 5 year old course on a 100yr old piece of land.
It needs to grow in so much. Playable for sure, guest fee of an alumni is $225, non-accompanied is $350?
In no instance is it worth that, they don’t even have a locker room to change shoes.
I’m not ungrateful about playing with my friend, Just one mans opinion.
