Francoeur Makes Cut at OccuNet Classic Following 2nd Round 65
Former URI star Chris Francoeur fired a second round 65 to make the cut at the Korn Ferry Tour’s OccuNet Classic on Friday in Texas.
The second round 65 launched Francoeur 62 spots up the leaderboard and into a tie for 32nd heading into the weekend.
He is two-under for the tournament.

This is Francoeur’s fourth straight Korn Ferry Tour event and he has made the cut in all four events.
The OccuNet Classic is led by Chan Kim at nine-under par.
Francoeur’s 2nd Round
Coming off a first round 73, the former Rhody Ram needed a strong round to make the cut.
Starting on one, he opened with a birdie to get to one-under par, before giving it back on the third hole to drop to even.
However, Francoeur would get that back and then some.
Francoeur dropped a birdie on four, five, and six to move to three-under for the day.
He parred out the front nine to turn at 32.
On the back side, Francoeur birdied the 12th and 17th holes to card a second round 65.
