Northeast Am Co-Chair “We Couldn’t be More Proud” of Davis Chatfield
Northeast Am alum and Wannamoisett product Davis Chatfield is set to tee it up this week at the PGA Tour’s RBC Canadian Open.
Chatfield is in the midst of his first season on the Tour after earning a card through the Korn Ferry Tour last fall.
“It’s great to see Davis. We all watched him grow up here, the work he has put in, the dedication he has to the game and to his craft, it’s special. It’s what he wanted, it’s his dream and he is there,” Northeast Amateur Co-Chair Ben Tuthill told GolfNewsRI at Northeast Amateur media day earlier this week.

He added, “We couldn’t be more proud of the player and the man that Davis is and to represent Wannamoisett the way that he does is super cool.”
Starting in 2016, Chatfield made multiple appearances at the prestigious Northeast Amateur, earning a top five finish in 2021, before turning pro shortly after the 2022 tournament.

On the PGA Tour this season, Chatfield has played 13 events and made four cuts with one top 25 finish.
“I know he is grinding right now, trying to make it happen and I think he will get there. As long as, he perseveres,” said Tuthill.
Chatfield will look to turn the momentum this week up in Canada.
