Mt. Hope Wins Coaches Association Championship
The Mt. Hope Huskies won the 2026 Coaches Association Championship on Thursday at Winnapaug.
Mt. Hope carded a team score of 329 to edge defending champion Portsmouth by two shots.
Portsmouth beat Mt. Hope by two shots last year.
This is the third year of the Coaches Association Championship, which gives teams who did not qualify for the State Championship a chance to compete in the postseason.

Mt. Hope was led by senior Luke Domina and freshman Logan Ferreira, who both carded rounds of 78.
Jackson Howland followed up with an 86 and Braeden Clark added an 87.

Westerly, Cumberland and East Providence rounded out the top five teams.
Individual Honors
On the individual side, Portsmouth’s Jake Nocon won the boys division with a round of 77.
He edged out Domina and Ferreira by one shot to take the title.

Nocon won the boys division last year as well.
Over on the girls side, Cumberland’s Julia Nault fired a round of 82 to take the title.
Lauren Adamonis finished second with a round of 88.
It was a great opportunity to be the starter for these teams that will not be at states.
Many talented junior golfers who are on their way to make their mark in the coming years!
