Bryant Women Finish 6th at OVC Championship

The Bryant women’s golf team wrapped up their season with a sixth place finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on Tuesday in Georgia. 

Bryant posted a team score of 121-over par for the three round event to finish in solo sixth, just two shots out of the top five.

After an opening round team score of 338, Bryant rallied with team scores of 327 and a final round score of 320 to stay in sixth. 

The Conference Championship was won by Little Rock at 52-over par.

Leading Bryant

The Bulldogs were led by sophomore Miranda Prober, who earned a top five finish in the tournament. 

She placed in a tie for fifth at 17-over par for the week, with rounds of 78 80 and 75. 

Prober was named to the All-Tournament team.

Senior Jenelle Valera closed out her collegiate career with an 18th place finish at 28-over par for the tournament. 

She posted rounds of 85, 77 and a final round 82.

Valera was named to the All-OVC second team earlier this month after leading Bryant in eight out of nine tournaments. 

She finished in a tie for first at the Senior Showdown to help the Bulldogs to their first victory in program history. 

Bryant’s scoring was rounded out by Sienna Wheeler and Sophie Cunningham, both whom tied for 31st, while Cassidy Gallant finished 35th.
