Dacey, Fontenault Lead RWU to 2nd Place Finish at Hawks Invitational
Ryan Dacey and Gianni Fontenault earned top ten finishes for Roger Williams at their home invitational this week at the Aquidneck Club in Bristol.
Dacey and Fontenault tied for ninth overall at 13-over par to lead the Hawks to a second place finish in the tournament.
In his second career collegiate event, Fontenault posted rounds of 78 and 77, while Dacey carded rounds of 76 and 79.
RWU was led by Will Lafrance, who finished in second overall with a two-day total of eight-over par.
Roger Williams finished with a team score of 616, while Palm Beach State won the event with a score of 611.
Roger Williams will return to action on Friday, Apr. 17 and Saturday, Apr. 18, when they take part in the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational.
