Chatfield Makes Cut on the Number at Valspar Championship
Former Rhode Island Amateur Champ Davis Chatfield made his second straight PGA Tour cut on Friday afternoon down in Florida.
Chatfield is playing the weekend at the Valspar Championship after making the cut right on the number at one-over par for the tournament.
He currently sits in a tie for 59th overall following rounds of 69 and 74.
This is Chatfield’s third made cut in seven events.

Chatfield’s 2nd Round
Things got off to a shaky start in the second round for Chatfield, who entered the day at two-under par overall.
Chatfield started on the back nine where he parred the tenth and 11th holes, he made double on the par-4 12th hole.

He put his tee shot in the fairway, but his second shot found the bunker on the right.
Out of the bunker, Chatfield ended up in the rough, fourth shot on the green and then two putts for a six.
Chatfield bounced back with a birdie on the par-3 13th hole, draining an eight footer from the left side of the flag.
Following four straight pars, Chatfield bogeyed the par-4 18th hole to turn at two-over for the round.
Turning to the front side, Chatfield rolled in a 15-footer for birdie on the par-3 fourth hole, before making back-to-back bogeys on seven and eight.
On the closing ninth hole, Chatfield rolled in a clutch seven footer for par to make the cut on the number.
