URI Finishes 11th at Sam Ryder Intercollegiate
The University of Rhode Island golf team finished in a tie for 11th at the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate this week in Florida.
Rhode Island was 40-over par as a team for the tournament.
“A very smart man once told me that you are what you score. So this is where we are. It is time to evaluate, go back to what made us good over the years, regroup and move on,” said URI Head Coach Gregg Burke.
URI was led by Tyler Bruneau, who finished a tie for 20th overall following a one-under final round.
Josiah Tong finished in a tie for 30th at seven-over par.
The tournament was won by Stetson at 13-under par.
Stetson was the only team under par in the tournament.
