Wanumetonomy to Host U.S. Amateur Local Qualifier
Wanumetonomy Golf & Country Cub will host a local qualifier for the U.S. Amateur, the Rhode Island Golf Association revealed on Thursday.
The Wanumetonomy qualifier will be held on June 8.
It should be noted that the winner of the 2026 Rhode Island Amateur will get an automatic bid to the U.S. Amateur.
There is also a local qualifier on June 3rd at Longmeadow Country Club in Massachusetts.
Registration opens on Wednesday, March 18.
Final qualifying for the U.S. Am will be held on July 20 at Boston Golf Club.
The 2026 U.S. Amateur is set to be held at Merion Golf club in Pennsylvania in mid-August.
