Chatfield Misses Cut at Sony Open

Former Rhode Island Amateur Champ Davis Chatfield missed the cut at his PGA Tour debut this week at the Sony Open in Hawaii. 

Chatfield finished the tournament at one-over par to miss the weekend by two shots. 

He posted rounds of 70 and a second round 71. 

Chatfield’s second round scorecard included four bogeys against three birdies.

There is currently a five-way tie for first place at nine-under par heading into the weekend.

Chatfield by Numbers in PGA Tour Debut 

Through two rounds on the PGA Tour, Chatfield hit 75% of fairways and had an average driving distance of 288 yards. 

The former Notre Dame star hit 64% of greens in regulation (23 of 36), was 60% on sand saves and just 54% scrambling. 

He average just under two putts per Green in Regulation and made 70 feet of putts over the two rounds.
